| 抄録: | In this year, Center for Graduate Education Initiative (CGEI) had opportunities to discuss on higher education in graduate school. At the first meeting CGEI invited Professor Ohtsuka (Center for the Promotion of Excellence in Higher Education, Kyoto University). In this meeting CGEI staff talked on Faculty Development (FD) with Prof. Otsuka who has long been deal with FD in Kyoto University. The CGEI and Prof. Otuka exchanged useful and practical information from each other. The second meeting was held by inviting Professor Suzuki (Kumamoto University). At this meeting Prof. Suzuki discussed on how does CGEI staff settles on supervision policy (laboratory education policy). In this topic we talked about the question how does CGEI define the curriculum? Is it possible to discriminate education in laboratory from curriculum? The advice of Prof. Suzuki clearly showed us the problem to be solved in supervision policy (laboratory education policy). Third meeting was the extended meeting in which eight advisors attended to the meeting. While advisors came from a variety of affiliations; university in US, domestic university and companies, all of the professors who have rich and useful knowledge are top-ranking professionals about higher education. Through the discussion, the advisors made the CGEI staffs realize the importance of higher education in JAIST again since JAIST is top runner of higher education in graduate school in global field as well as in domestic field. |
